Tyrolean digitalisation funding for small businesses

Draft. This page has not been editorially reviewed yet. The legal review is still pending.

You have a business in Tyrol and are planning a digitalisation project? The Land Tirol (State of Tyrol) funds digitalisation at a rate that depends on company size: micro-enterprises get up to 30 per cent, small enterprises up to 20 per cent, medium-sized and large ones up to 10 per cent. Since 1 January 2025, submission has been on a rolling basis, and no end date is given on the state’s form page (checked on 14 October 2026). Funding covers implementation measures with staff, material and external costs, such as process automation, software development, IT security or training. Since 2025, a project is considered as a whole and no longer split into planning, implementation and qualification. The documents retrieved do not say whether a new website counts. Clarify this directly with the Land Tirol before ordering. What is certain: the application must be submitted before the funding period begins. Below you will find the conditions and answers to common questions.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Tyrolean digitalisation funding?

That depends on the size of your company. According to the Land Tirol, micro-enterprises receive up to 30 per cent, small enterprises up to 20 per cent and medium-sized and large enterprises up to 10 per cent. Minimum costs and the maximum amount are not on the form page but in the state’s guideline.

Is a website funded?

That is open. As examples, the state names process automation, robotics, programming, AR and VR applications, IT security and training. Websites are neither mentioned nor excluded. Ask the Land Tirol before you order and get the answer in writing. A written answer will help you later when settling the grant.

When do I have to apply?

Before the start of the requested funding period. That is what the Land Tirol’s form page says. So any costs incurred before then are at your own risk. Submission is possible on a rolling basis; no fixed end date was given on 14 October 2026. So submit the application before you order or sign anything.

Who can apply?

Companies located in Tyrol that hold a valid trade licence (Gewerbeberechtigung) or belong to the commercial economy. Companies predominantly owned by the public sector are excluded. For questions on whether your project is eligible, the Land Tirol is directly responsible, not the agency carrying out your project.
